We provide the complete package. What does this mean? Well, we’re not just sign makers. We can manage your whole signage project from concept to installation. Think of us as a one-stop shop for signage.
We are very much a feet-on-the-ground company — practical and focused with more than our fair share of creativity.
Every day, we are bombarded with advertising messages — when driving, when shopping, when at work. But our brains can only absorb so much and most of the information we’re exposed to is filtered out. Poor signage becomes a kind of urban wallpaper — it just fades into the background. This isn’t good if you are a business wanting to get noticed.
We design and manufacture signage that demands attention. Our job is to drag your business from the clutter and into the foreground.
Consistency of your signage, both with your brand and with your other signs, is important. This is why we can manage your whole signage project from concept to installation.
We have a wealth of knowledge in design, fabrication, project management and installation — this is unique in New Zealand. So, rather than outsourcing, we carry out most work in house, giving us tight control over quality. For more information on how we work, please visit our What we do page
We have worked with businesses all over New Zealand, even in Australia. So, it doesn’t matter where you are, we can work together.
Who we are
Global Signage Concepts was established in 1998 by Daryl Matthews. In the early 90s, Daryl spent four years working overseas — in the US, UK and South Africa. During this time, he gained valuable skills by experiencing first-hand many methods of design and manufacture.
For many years, Daryl had aspired to own his own business. So, back in New Zealand, after a stint working for a display company, he started Global Signage Concepts.
Since we started in 1998, we’ve worked on many big projects.
One highlight was being approached by Westfield to help them re-brand the 277 Shopping Centre in Newmarket (read case study
Another highlight was working with Hewlett Packard. They had recently purchased a company called EDS. So, we assisted with re-branding the EDS stores over to Hewlett Packard. They were so pleased with our work that they asked us to provide signage for them in Melbourne and Adelaide, Australia (read case study
